1. Services Provided
Golden Fog Notary provides mobile notary services in Orange County and Los Angeles County. As a California Notary Public, our role is limited to verifying identities, witnessing signatures, and administering oaths.

2. Fees and Payments

Notary Fees: In accordance with California Government Code § 8211, the maximum fee for an acknowledgment or jurat is $15 per signature.

Travel & Convenience Fees: These are separate, non-regulated fees for the convenience of mobile service. All travel fees will be disclosed and agreed upon before the notary commences travel.

Payment Terms: Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed. We accept Most Credit and Debit Cards, Venmo, Cash App, Apple Pay, Android Pay
3. Requirements for Notarization
To perform a notarization, the following California legal requirements must be met:

Personal Appearance: The signer must be physically present before the notary at the time of the act.

Identification: Signers must present valid, government-issued photo ID (e.g., CA Driver's License, US Passport). Per California law, "personal knowledge" of a signer is not a sufficient form of ID.

Document Completion: Documents must be complete with no blank spaces before notarization.
4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation: Appointments canceled with less than 2 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of $25.

Travel Fee Policy: If the notary arrives at the location and the notarization cannot be completed (e.g., due to improper ID or incomplete documents), the travel fee remains due and is non-refundable.
